Our Caregiver Respite Program provides a short term break for a caregiver to help relieve stress and restore energy.  We take care of your family member while you take time for yourself.  Caring for a loved one can be a demanding, difficult job and getting a break for a few days can bring balance to a caregiver's life.

New Program Funds Relief for Caregivers

If you are the caregiver for a loved one with Parkinson's disease, you may be eligible for free respite services through a partnership between the Wisconsin Chapter-American Parkinson Disease Association and Independent Living, Inc.

Eligibility criteria
  • Documentation of the patient's diagnosis of Parkinson's disease
  • Resident of Dane County
  • Membership in Wisconsin Chapter of the A.P.D.A. (A simple application form·completes your·membership)

The Wisconsin Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization committed to raising public awareness of Parkinson's disease and dedicated to easing the burden on a Parkinson patient, family and caregiver.  Find more information at www.wichapterapda.org.
