Our Caregiver Respite Program provides a short term break for a caregiver to help relieve stress and restore energy. We take care of your family member while you take time for yourself. Caring for a loved one can be a demanding, difficult job and getting a break for a few days can bring balance to a caregiver's life.

New Program Funds Relief for Caregivers
If you are the caregiver for a loved one with Parkinson's disease, you may be eligible for free respite services through a partnership between the Wisconsin Chapter-American Parkinson Disease Association and Independent Living, Inc.

Documentation of the patient's diagnosis of Parkinson's disease
Resident of Dane County
Membership in Wisconsin Chapter of the A.P.D.A. (A simple application form·completes your·membership)
The Wisconsin Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization committed to raising public awareness of Parkinson's disease and dedicated to easing the burden on a Parkinson patient, family and caregiver.
